Shere Myers
Originally from Walsh CO, Shere' moved to Wayne County in 2013. She received a B.S. in Biology from Cedarville University in 2004 and a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics in 2010. She enjoys homeschooling her 4 children (ages 15, 13, 10 and 6) as well as participating in Classical Conversations of Wilson.
After teaching Biology at Wayne Community College for 11 years, she recently resigned to focus her efforts on Solid Ground NC. She has been privileged to volunteer with the Goldsboro Ladies Hope Center House since 2022.
Christopher Myers
Chris serves as a Vice-President for T. A. Loving Company, with 20 plus years of experience in the water and wastewater construction industry.
He earned his MBA, with a Concentration in Project Management, from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. In his spare time, he enjoys camping with the Boy Scouts and Family. He lives in Goldsboro with his wife Shere, and four children. He serves on his's churches safety team, building committee, and maintenance committee. He is passionate about the Solid Ground Mission and leads the construction committee.
Ryan Roberson
Ryan Roberson lives and works on a multi-generational farm in Wayne County, NC, just outside of Goldsboro. Ryan is a 2009 graduate of NC State University with a degree in Animal Science, and a 2012 graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a Master’s in Animal Science.
Together with his wife, Betsy, and her parents, Ryan operates Overman Farms, Inc. Ryan also operates a 600-acre beef cattle and hay operation, Roberson Cattle Company. His goal is to honor the Lord with the management of this operation and also to maintain a farming operation that will be sustainable for the next generation.
Together, Ryan and Betsy are raising their four children, Wade (10), Logan (8), John Rex (6), and Brooks (2), which is their greatest joy. They are active members of Stoney Creek Church, and Ryan serves on many boards and committees both for the church and in the agricultural community for Wayne County, including NC Farm Bureau, Wayne County Livestock Development Association Board of Directors, Wayne County Cattlemen’s Association, Wayne County Chamber of Commerce Ag Committee, and others. At Stoney Creek, Ryan currently serves as the chair of the foreign missions committee, and enjoys taking annual mission trips to Belize.
April Bofferding
Originally from Oklahoma, April moved to Goldsboro as a military spouse. She enjoys the opportunity to support military families and engage with the local community during each move.
April holds a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from East Carolina University and currently works for a software company. Her non-traditional career path was shaped by her commitment to supporting her husband’s military career while raising their family, giving her a well-rounded insight of different communities and challenges.
Passionate about helping others in any capacity, April is invested in addiction recovery and rehabilitation efforts. She is grateful for the opportunity to support Solid Ground in its mission to provide a strong foundation for individuals transitioning from rehabilitation, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to rebuild their lives.
Nick Foster
Originally from West Virginia, the Air Force brought Nick to Goldsboro in 2006 after graduating from Virginia Military Institute. After a three year stint overseas, he returned to the area in 2012 and now calls Goldsboro his home. He is active in local high school sports as a wrestling official, enjoys being part of the community and loves spending time with his two children. Through the air force, he has leadership, cross-functional team, project management skills along with degrees in Civil Engineering and Environmental Policy and Management. He has a heart for helping people overcome obstacles to find a better life.
Scott Satterfield
Scott was born and raised in Erwin, NC, in Harnett County. He holds degrees in religion and history from the University of Mount Olive and East Carolina University. After 20 years in full-time church ministry, he began working as the Downtown Goldsboro Business and Property Development Specialist. After opening two different businesses (which continue today under new ownership), Scott became the President/CEO of the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce in 2022. In his role at the Chamber, Scott works to engage, equip and elevate every business in Wayne County. Scott and his wife Kristen have children: Elijah, Finley and Magnolia.
Michael Woodard
Michael Woodard was born and raised in Goldsboro. He has been licensed to practice law since 2006. Michael is licensed in both North Carolina and Alabama. Additionally, he and his wife Mary own and operate Woodard Realty where they manage residential rental units.
Tim Sharp
Pastor Tim Sharp is an evangelist who is married to his high school sweetheart and together they have five children and nine grandchildren He’s passionate about the lost and broken, which led him to minister at Mardi Gras and in prisons. Pastor Tim was also a Youth Pastor for many years. Hope Center Ministries is now close to his heart as he spends time mentoring at the center.
Dylan House
Dylan House is an NC General Contractor, small business owner, and an active church member. The father of five young ones, he loves big families, the outdoors, and homesteading.
